Agricultural chemicals. Pesticides which seeps into water from old pipes and plumbing solder. Lead plumbing materials were not banned until 1986, so many homes and municipal water systems still have pipes held together with lead solder.
The sum of people who still acquire their drinking H2O without filtering it's astonishing. A lot of person conceive filtered water is a luxury they can't yield. Even so, in freshly there have been a lot of alarms for the public to boil water earlier applying plainly because of burst line, spill, and extra such troubles.
Covenant Filtration Group Products :About two-thirds of the weight of an adult human consists of water. About two-thirds of this water is located within cells, while the remaining third consists of extracellular water, mostly in the blood plasma and in the interstitial fluid that bathes the cells. This water, amounting to about five percent of body weight (about 5 L in the adult), serves as a supporting fluid for the blood cells and acts as a means of transporting chemicals between cells and the external environment. It is basically a 0.15M solution of salt (NaCl) containing smaller amounts of other electrolytes, the most important of which are bicarbonate (HCO3–) and protein anions.
It is well known that people who are engaged in heavy physical activity or are in a very hot environment should avoid drinking large quantities of even ordinary water. In order to prevent serious electrolyte imbalance problems, it is necessary to make up for the salts lost through perspiration. This can be accomplished by ingestion of salted foods or beverages (including "sports beverages"), or salt tablets.
* Spring water: natural underground water that comes up to the surface.
* Mineral water: water containing only the natural minerals from its underground source, but not less than 250 parts per million of dissolved solid material.
* Sparkling water: water that has been naturally carbonated
* Purified water: all contaminants have been filtered out. (A word of caution to mothers mixing this water with formula: purified does not mean "sterile." For newborns it still should be boiled.)
* Drinking water: ordinary tapwater
* Artesian water: water from an underground, natural reservoir.
Now, which one do you choose?
Covenant Filtration Group Location : One occasionally hears that mineral-free water, and especially distilled water, are unhealthy because they "leach out" required minerals from the body. Such claims are greatly overblown; the fact is that mineral ions do not pass through cell walls by ordinary osmotic diffusion, but rather are actively transported by metabolic processes. Nevertheless, a draft WHO report cites animal experiments and some human epidemiological evidence suggesting that ion-free water is less desirable than water containing moderate quantities (200-400 mg/mL) of electrolytes (ions), especially calcium and magnesium.
Covenant Filtration Group News A useful reference for eating and drinking wisely during exercise is: Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook, Human Kinetics Publishing, 1996. Your family deserves pure water swimming. If there are health concerns about showering in chlorinated water (from either inhaling chlorine vapor or from chlorine being absorbed through the skin), what about being immersed for hours in a heavily-chlorinated public pool or inhaling the steam as you sit meditatively in a chlorinated spa, or even a heated pool? There is a better way. European pool filtration technology is way ahead of American, since in Europe many pools are indoors and the concentration of chlorine gases in the "pool room" can be nauseatingly uncomfortable. (Take a deep breath next time you walk into the hotel indoor pool). To solve this problem, Europeans invented an ozone filtration system in which the water is zapped with bacteria-killing ozone as it goes through the filter and then the ozone self- destructs as the water re-enters the pool. This is the system that we have installed on our pool and spa, and it is probably the healthiest $500 we have ever spent. Actually, by the time you factor in the savings of having a chemical-free pool and the lower maintenance cost, it's probably the most cost- effective way to filter your pool water, too.
